Baron is home!
Baron came home today! He's in a lot of pain and on a lot of pain meds. He can't walk yet, so we made him a comfy basket to sleep in. He and mom are going to spend the day on the couch writing.
The vet says he's doing really well, and that he was an amazing sport. She said that when we brought him in he was malnourished and dehydrated, but other than that (and being hit by a car!) he was generally healthy. She also said that he already seems to be adjusting to life with three legs very well. Eventually he should be able to walk and run just fine.
I want to thank Amy Wallace and Anna Tutt for bringing Baron a very handsome collar, nameplate, and bandana with the inscription "I'm a Survivor!" He can't wear them yet, but we hung them from his basket. And I know he's going to love them.
He is such a sweet puppy. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to help save him. Unfortunately surgery is expensive, even for dogs. So any donation would be hugely appreciated. Without all of you Baron wouldn't be with us anymore.

Aww He is so precious! I can't wait to meet him. I hope he gets lots of rest.
